They passionately believe no-one should be excluded from the service because they are unable to make a financial contribution. Funding was provided to enable them to support and assist 24 people who have made plans for suicide or survived a recent attempt this year.

Counselling Plus Community (CPC) works with people (aged 16+) in mental health crisis. Last year over 900 people were provided with professional and effective therapy. Clients present with a range of issues including PTSD, childhood sexual abuse, depression, anxiety, sexual identity, bullying, domestic abuse impact, suicidal ideation and isolation. Funding will support work effectively with people who have made plans for suicide or survived a recent attempt.

Founded in 1992, Counselling Plus is a respected service working with disadvantaged local people on low incomes and benefits to improve their mental well-being. Through professional 1:1 counselling, they work with clients to identify and enable change to negative thought patterns and behaviours and support them to learn new skills. Funding was provided towards ten professional counselling sessions and clinical supervisions.
