PEER POWER YOUTH

Peer Power Youth is an exciting, young social justice charity that promotes empathy towards under-supported children and young people. We support children and workers to develop strong and trusted relationships, increase young people's voice, improve their emotional health and well-being, and to work together to transform services for children in need. www.peerpower.org.uk
Analysis by Giving is Great

Positives:

  • There has been strong growth in spending over the last 5 years
  • Fundraising costs are unusually low relative to funds raised
  • A significant proportion of recent income was derived from major grant makers including the Government
  • The Board appears to be dynamic in terms of composition

Regulatory & Governance issues to consider:

  • Although this charity works with volunteers it does not have a Volunteer Management policy
  • The Board is predominantly female

Financial issues to consider:

  • Liquidity appears to have been slender at the latest year end
  • On several occasions in recent years income has been less than spending
Established: 8 years
