National Lottery Community Fund Wag and Company enables trained volunteers and dogs to visit older people in care/medical establishments and their own homes. The service helps older people to reduce their social isolation, using the dog as a catalyst for conversation between the older person and the volunteer. This project is to build upon and adapt the organisation’s current digital infrastructure so that the digital service can be self-sustaining by 2023 and respond to increasing demand from across the UK.
