This project grew membership and developed facilities for the Fishburn Youth Club, enhancing the service and opportunities for children and young people from the village, an ex-mining community in County Durham. New equipment and designated areas provided spaces for a café, cinema/chill zone and studying, and activities helped young people aged 8-18 years old to learn new skills and develop new interests. Sessions offered activities and support, helping to promote social interaction, reduce isolation and build confidence. The project was shaped by a youth steering committee.
