ASHFORD STREET PASTORS

Ashford Street Pastors are a body of volunteers from many churches in and around Ashford who go onto the streets on Friday and Saturday nights between 10pm and 4am, to take care of those who have, for whatever reason, become vulnerable and as a result are not able to take care themselves. Our philosophy is helping, caring listening.
Analysis by Giving is Great

Positives:

  • This charity has been very successful in attracting volunteers relative to its size
  • There has been reasonable growth in spending over the last 3 years relative to the previous period
  • There have been no material income shortfalls in recent years
  • A significant proportion of recent income was derived from major grant makers including the Government
  • The Board appears to be dynamic in terms of composition

Financial issues to consider:

  • A PartB annual return has not been required and so detailed financial information is not available from the online data
  • Income has been volatile recently and was significantly lower than spending in the latest year
Established: 9 years
