This project will contribute to funding to train a staff member to become a qualified hill and moorland walk leader who will arrange walks that take place twice a month. The walks are targeted at people of any age who lack the confidence, skills or awareness to navigate country walking routes without support. The initial training phase will last for approximately one year, before the second phase of the project begins. The second phase will run for one year to enable it to become a regular event. A total of 24 long walks will take place. This will involve a guided local hill walk lasting between 3-5 hours for groups of up to 12 participants.

This project will use funding to further develop their pre-employment support and employability programme in High Peak Derbyshire. Originally set up as a foodbank Zink provides welfare advice and advocacy employability workshops 1-1 coaching volunteering work experience entry level micro-jobs a wide range of wellbeing activities and a community eco-café using surplus food from supermarkets.

People most in need within the area will receive emergency food parcels which will reflect their individual and/or family needs. Length of support will be dependent on circumstances, with some receiving a one-off parcel, whilst others will receive support for a more sustained period.
