MONTY'S COMMUNITY HUB

Monty's Community Hub is based in an area of Southampton, which ranks highly across multiple indices of deprivation, partnering with our community to enable personal, social and spiritual growth. It involved local people in repairing and reselling second-hand bikes. The expanded programme included more opportunities for people to gain skills and qualifications as a possible route towards education or employment. It also involved adult and youth bike workshops, with regular opportunities for local people to meet-up for bike-rides and bike-events. The project had a membership ranging from five-year-olds to 75 year-olds and was led by its members.
