Adapting an existing app tool that has been piloted over two years, undertaking the discovery work necessary, on a user friendly platform and includes at least two new projects surrounding children and young peoples mental health and COVID 19 lockdown. The aims set out for the game to improve their mental health and wellbeing as a digital solution and to ensure engagement at any time, and some of the ideas presented are as follows: COACH - voice of the therapist The 'coach' is the supportive, encouraging, non-judgmental voice that they otherwise may not have in their life. TRAINING PROGRAMME that has to be done before the 'fight/round/game' can be played. How do boxers get ready to get in the ring? We can take the same approach in life - breathing exercises/distraction techniques/mindfulness/positive mantras. Choose your opponent in the ring, one of the following: Anxiety/Fear Loneliness Guilt/Shame Depression Play 'rounds' of the game (the fun bit)' and the 'mental health advice' comes in the form of the short time-outs with boxing coach in the corner. Weigh in: self check up on feelings Boxers take what they do in the ring/out into life Channel the anger Marketing approach We will share the details of the game with our professional partners, other service providers working with children, schools, colleges, universities and all our contacts. We will include a comprehensive and detailed marketing strategy within our business plan We will also target the game at adults/caregivers/other professionals who work with children and young people to encourage them to have the game on their device/to download it onto their device for them as a digital 'Coach in their corner' - so even if there isn't a clear need for it immediately, the resource is always at their fingertips should they/a friend need it. Both platforms will have an element of AI learning, sharing and a chat facility.

People accessing the Progress for Women Centre will have increased confidence through engaging with the Monica Programme and learning new coping strategies through CBT. They will become connected to their community and other clients who have experienced similar diffiulties to themselves, through social meet up oin onsite community cafe. They will experience a sense of pride and self worth through learning new skills that they are able to take to the job market. For many this will be the first time they have achieved such skills. They will achieve autonomy and financial independence through obtaining paid for work, having first had the opportunity to hone new skills in a supported volunteering environment. They will learn techniques of open communication with other clients, therapists and the public (in the community cafe) taking these back to the family for future generations to benefit from, and identify areas of interest and passion for themselves. A sense of pride and awe will take the place of despair and feelings of worthlessness by the service, their peers and the public celebrating their success. Accreditted skills in some areas will be achieved. We anticiapte that some of the clients will go on to peer mentor in future groups, sustaining the delivery of programmes into the future and relating their own successful journeys to others who are at the beginning of their new lives and making changes in that life. GIrls will achieve a sense of belongiing and being heard. Their new learned behavour will be of positive experiences rather than negative outcomes; we have previously partnered with the Songwriting Charity to deliver a therapeutic programme of music and songwriting for young people, which has been hugely sucessful in transforming behaviours. The Women's Centre is a recipe for change consolidating holistic practies in one trusted place.
