The fund was open to voluntary and community sector groups and the Home Office made up to £800,000 available in 2017 to 2018.A second round of the fund was announced in the Serious Violence Strategy, launched by the Home Secretary on 9 April 2018.In 2018/19 were are increasing this fund to £1.56 million pound for 68 projects.

Improve Health and Wellbeing by attending Women Only Workshops at the LNK unit Build Social Networks for young women by attending Women Only Workshops at the LNK unit. 35 Young women referred from the Pupil Referral Units will feel more confident following a mentoring relationship with an LNK mentor over the course of a year. 35 Young women referred from the PRU will have improved knowledge of Healthy Relationships, Consent and Sexual Health following the workshops at the LNK unit. 35 Young women referred from the PRU will have built social networks with other young women and inspirational speakers following workshops and networking events at the LNK unit over the course of a year. 35 Young women will feel more confident and have gained better knowledge of their future goals to apply for and sustain a place in Education, Employment or Training by the end of the years programme.

Bids have been assessed on the extent to which they provide value for money and demonstrate, based on their understanding of knife crime in the local area, that they will achieve at least one of the following key aims:Â? Prevent young people from becoming involved in carrying a knifeÂ? Respond to knife crime in our communitiesÂ? Improve support for knife crime offenders and offer an effective exit strategyÂ?
