ZEST THEATRE

Zest is a national touring theatre company creating eye-opening new work for young people. We are passionate about the development of young audiences, particularly those in their mid to late teens. This is a key demographic for the arts sector. With each tour we gather data to find out more about our audience and the best ways to create long term arts engagement with young people.
Analysis by Giving is Great

Positives:

  • There has been strong growth in spending over the last 5 years
  • A significant proportion of recent income was derived from major grant makers including the Government
  • The Board appears to be well diversified in terms of gender and dynamic in terms of composition

Regulatory & Governance issues to consider:

  • One or more trustees receive payments or benefits from the charity for providing services to the charity
  • Over half the Board have joined recently

Financial issues to consider:

  • A PartB annual return has not been required and so detailed financial information is not available from the online data
