Activities include the All Sorts group which puts on quizzes, music, dancing and other creative activities, monthly Pub Lunch outings, Men in Sheds sessions for like-minded men to do DIY over tea and biscuits and befriending calls and visits to lonely and isolated older people many of whom have recently experienced major life changes such as a bereavement or health diagnosis. Core funding will enable Age UK Barnsley to continue to provide these much needed services at a time when demand for their help is increasing.
