To provide funding to Nesta to distribute grants through the Enhancing Impact Fund to a small portfolio of high performing, high impact organisations from the existing portfolio of projects, in accordance with the aims and objectives of the Centre for Social Action. Grantees will be selected, from the existing portfolio from the Second Half Fund, the Connected Communities Innovation Fund, the Early Years Social Action Fund and the Saver Support Fund. Criteria for award of the additional funding will be subject to final agreement between OCS and Nesta and shall include impact to date or impact potential, performance to date, capacity of the team to scale further, demand for services and sustainability.

The Cabinet Office?s primary aim in awarding this Grant to Nesta for the Inclusive Economy Partnership is to test a new partnerships model for supporting organisations with innovative solutions to major societal challenges reach a point where they are ready to scale their activity.The Cabinet Office?s objectives for this Grant are as follows:(i) To support organisations with innovative solutions to the three challenges of a) financial inclusion & capability, b) mental health and c) transitions to work build partnerships that will enable them scale their activity and deliver greater impact. The outcome expected is that over the grant period a majority of the 18 organisations supported through the Partnership secure commitments from business, civil society or government to help them scale their activity.(ii) To champion partnership working as an approach to supporting organisations with innovative solutions to scale their activity. The outcome expected is a body of evidence around the efficacy of the Inclusive Economy Partnership model for identifying and supporting organisations to build relationships that will support them to scale their activity to tackle societal challenges and recommendations for how such approaches could be expanded and improved in the future.
