What's Happening on North Street has successfully delivered a range of health improvement services over 2017-2019 and is now looking to extend and adapt some of these services, as well as introducing related services. These services are aimed at plugging current gaps in provision, particularly around early intervention and prevention, and aimed at people with mild mental and/or physical health conditions which have a impact on their daily lives, and services which we know have already made a measurable difference to people. The funding will be used to provide space, facilitators and resources to deliver these services, all of which have received referrals from medical professionals. The most significant difference this will make to people is to give them tools and resources to be able to manage their conditions to reduce the negative impact on their daily lives and stop these conditions getting worse; the most significant difference to the health service is reducing the number of people having to access stretched services, and preventing some people from even needing to access these services without the early intervention we will provide.

We want to deliver a range of activities designed to improve people's health and wellbeing and need to pay for rooms and teachers.

The group will expand their range of activities. This will help people with mental health issues to manage their stress and anxiety and develop coping strategies.

What's Happening on North Street wish to provide a range of health improvement activities, delivered in partnership with other organisations, aimed at improving the health of local residents in Crewe, Cheshire. The funding will be used to fund the activities, the main costs of which are for the delivery of the activities, costs of the rooms needed, and associated publicity to obtain participants. the grant request will focus on the creative arts for wellbeing aspect of the projet which is specifically targeted at people with low level mental health problems.

Oakhanger Methodist Church and the Oakhanger Project provides a community hall for community groups, services to the wider community working with both able bodied and disabled children, young people and families and a place for public worship as a united congregation with St Luke's hospice. The Church activities are aimed at reducing isolation and developing community cohesion whilst the Oakhanger Project aims to get teenagers and children involved in the outdoor activities developing key skills whilst also improving self confidence and self esteem with opportunities to undertake qualifications in kayaking and volunteering.
