The funding will be used to set up a six-month creative programme for disadvantaged children and young people (CYP) from Leicester(shire) inspired by the Eurovision Song Contest. It will deliver fun; informal weekly sessions in a community venue led by two professional tutors who will facilitate music and creative sessions based on Eurovision music genres and different eras to bring CYP together and celebrate an international event on a local level. Using music production; lyric writing; performance technique; etc as a way of bringing CYP together to reduce social isolation and appreciate different cultures.
