At Mudlarks our learning-disabled gardeners live with profound disabilities including Downs Syndrome, Autism, Global Delay Syndrome, Fragile X and Cerebral Palsy. Many live with multiple disabilities. What all our beneficiaries have in common is the need for purposeful and supportive day care. Mudlarks gives each learning-disabled person the opportunity to work alongside non-disabled volunteers and staff and build lifelong friendships which creates a better support network for all. Throughout Covid-19 our key needs of our beneficiaries have been to protect them from Covid-19, reduce their isolation and try and bring some normality and consistency to their lives.
