THE OBJECT OF THE CHARITY IS THE RELIEF OF POVERTY BY THE PROVISION OFALMSHOUSE ACCOMMODATION TO PERSONS IN NEED SUCH PERSONS TO BE APPOINTEDFROM APPLICANTS OF ONE OF THE FOLLOWING CLAUSES IN THE FOLLOWING ORDER OFPREFERENCE:(1) FREEMEN AND FREEWOMEN OF THE SKINNERS' COMPANY AND THEIRWIDOWS AND WIDOWERS AS THE CASE MAY BE;(2) IN DEFAULT OF APPLICANTS OF THE FOREGOING CLASSES, THEN DEPENDANTS ORFORMER DEPENDANTS OF THE SAID FREEMEN AND FREEWOMEN;(3) IN DEFAULT OF APPLICANTS OF EITHER OF THE FOREGOING CLAUSES THEN ANYOTHER SUCH PERSONS IN NEED AS AFORESAID.
