The funding will help support the project's Next Steps Recovery Support Program which will provide therapeutic employability and community support to adults recovering from addiction. The funding requested will be used towards salary and core costs of the Program. The overarching goal of this project is to help adults in recovery from addiction to flourish and avoid relapse. The Matthew Project has been supporting vulnerable adults and young people for 37 years across the East of England and work with 1300 vulnerable clients every year. Their services include supporting under 19s across Norfolk who are affected by someone else's drug / alcohol issues providing employment support and coaching for disengaged 16-24 year olds Outside the Wire peer led veteran support young peoples early intervention service as well as the Next Steps Recovery. The organisation delivers most of its support through outreach group support training and education as well as a variety of service user involvement which includes volunteering and peer mentoring programmes.
