Support YACs to socialise in their local community therefore promoting peer support, community contact and reduce social isolation. Support the YACs to recognise their own health needs and how to access the support they need to keep themselves well. We are aware that nationally 30% of known Young Adult Carers have accessed professional support for their mental health issues. Currently our experience supports this statistic in Buckinghamshire.Provide a point of easy access support therefore minimising the need to contact Housing Association staff. Ensure that Young Adult Carers are aware of the services available to other family members via Carers Bucks and Young Carers Bucks.
