We will provide physical, emotional and mental health activities to improve self-esteem, mental health and wellbeing, increase confidence and resilience and build supportive friendship and social networks.We will deliver 43 sessions over the year, which will include an end of year celebration, an international womens event and a family day out in the summer holidays.The activities will be identified by women in the group during planning and evaluation sessions. Sessions from the previous year have included women presenting a topic of their choosing, fitness related activities such as dance and yoga, cooking, counsellor led group work and education. However, sessions for this project will be arranged to fit the needs and wishes of women attending the group.We will also provide peer mentoring training for participants who wish to take a more active role in the facilitation and planning in the group. The knowledge and skills gained by participants can also be used within their communities and for future employment.

Many of their beneficiaries do not have access to mainstream services and they provide casework support to advocate for individuals and help them address issues of poverty; isolation and poor health and wellbeing. Alongside this they run many social and integration activities bringing people together and creating positive places to live. They provide support to victims of hate crime and run Hate Crime week to raise awareness around racial discrimination and crimes. Comic Relief funding will support their core staff costs and the development of a new business plan.
