Services have expanded to complement the day care and meet ....more In the heart of Penley village outside Wrexham, the Rainbow Centre began as day care for the elderly, many living in rural social isolation. Services have expanded to complement the day care and meet some of the higher care needs of frail and vulnerable older adults. It is the only day care centre that covers Wrexham and the borders of Shropshire and looks to manage and improve the health and wellbeing of older people and decrease social isolation. Over the last year, the Centre has worked with over 200 people. The grant will contribute towards a proportion of the salary costs of the Development Manager's post and enable the Centre to focus on obtaining an improved quality kite mark and put in place a robust strategy and business plan.
