The funding will be used as a contribution to fund the core running costs to provide tailored support to local young people aged between six and 25 who care for a relative such as a sibling parents or grandparents who have an illness disability mental health condition or substance dependence. Through group activities one to one support provision of information and advice the project aims to reduce inappropriate caring responsibilities and promote positive wellbeing.

The 'Caring To Succeed' project led by Carers Support Service will support young carers who live in North Warwickshire, Nuneaton and Bedworth, Rugby, Warwick and Stratford-upon-Avon. The three-year scheme will establish drop-in services at colleges for young carers over 16 and educational support packages for those still at school and after school homework clubs for those taking their GCSEs. It will include peer mentoring, leisure and career advice.
