New elements of the project will include increased support for new mothers, extension of support services for BAME families, additional training for volunteers supporting families affected by mental health issues and learning disabilities. Home-Start Camden will offer emotional and practical support to families under stress living in deprived areas where at least one child is under 5. Support will enable people to have better chances in their lives, provide better access to training and development and encourage employment possibilities. The project identify beneficiary families that are struggling to cope with the stresses involved in raising young children and managing family life and match them with experienced trained volunteers.
