SOUTH ASIAN DIASPORA LITERATURES AND ARTS ARCHIVE (SALIDAA)

SADAA is a South Asian Arts and Literature archive set up in 1999 by academics and arts practitioners who were concerned that the innovative and exciting contributions made by South Asians to the literary and artistic heritage of this country were in danger of being lost. Our purpose as a repository is to preserve and interpret this heritage and make it more accessible to future generations.
Analysis by Giving is Great

Positives:

  • Spending has increased over the last 3 years relative to the previous period
  • There have been no material income shortfalls in recent years
  • A significant proportion of recent income was derived from major grant makers
  • The Board appears to be well diversified in terms of gender

Regulatory & Governance issues to consider:

  • This charity does not have a Conflict of Interests policy
  • The Board composition appears to be rather static

Financial issues to consider:

  • A PartB annual return has not been required and so detailed financial information is not available from the online data
  • Accounts have been filed late on 3 occasions over the last 5 years and the current period appears to have been extended
Established: 24 years
