This is the continuation of an existing project that aims to support asylum seekers and refugees in Newcastle, many of whom are traumatised by war, political persecution, torture, imprisonment, rape and bereavements suffered in their home county which can take its toll on their mental health. Separated from their family and friends they face an uncertain future while trying to adapt to life in an unfamiliar county and culture.
