Beneficiaries will be families and individuals who are poor, socially isolated, lonely, and lacking in confidence, due to low income. The organisation will be working with a wide range of local organisations and service providers to deliver the project to 300 individuals._x000D_

The grant of £498,833 over three years, will fund one full time project co-ordinators, and two full time family support workers.

The Rhondda Cynon Taf area of South Wales is the 3rd most deprived local authority in Wales and experiences high levels of unemployment, poverty,poor literacy and numeracy and low aspiration. Many young people are 3rd and 4th generation unemployed and living in families with high levels ofdomestic violence, mental health problems, and drug and alcohol misuse. Valleys Kids would like to use the money from the BA voting initiative to provideyoung people with tailored sessions to help them focus positively on their mental, social and physical well-being.
