The Community Foundation in Wales (CFiW) will employ a project coordinator to engage with third sector groups and organisations to better understand how they access Trust and Foundation funding, what the awareness levels and how they understand funder requirements, as well as identify skills, capacity and confidence issues. Engagement will also take place with Trust and Foundations, in and outside of Wales, to identify what the challenges are in investing in Wales and how this can be improved. The project will benefit at least 150 community groups and charitable organisations from across Wales._x000D_
What Money is for :_x000D_
The grant of £100,000, over two years, will cover salaries, expenses, marketing, monitoring, event and engagement sessions as well as general revenue costs. This forms part of the overall costs.

The projects key aim is to increase the awareness of philanthropic giving within Wales. To do this Community Foundation in Wales (CFIW) will raise £1million of philanthropic donations by March 2016. For each donation secured, BIG will match fund the same amount, up to a maximum value of £1million. The £1million will then be placed in a Trust awarding small grants up to the value of £1000 to community groups over a period of 25 years._x000B_
