This builds on a successful project to improve the physical and mental health of disadvantaged people from black and minority ethnic communities living in Tower Hamlets. This is done through activities like fitness and cookery classes, stop smoking workshops and cervical screening. The funding will more than double the number of people benefitting from the project, and put greater focus on young people, mental health, specific activities for women and more advocacy work to refer people to existing services.
