WALLINGFORD DISTRICT TALKING NEWSPAPER ASSOCIATION

We produce an audio version of our local weekly newspaper, The Wallingford Herald, and other community magazines. Volunteers meet each week to read articles onto digital media which are distributed the next day to up to 40 people with visual or reading difficulties. Each registered listener is provided by the charity with an audio player to listen the recorded news.

Objectives

THE OBJECT OF THE ASSOCIATION IS TO RELIEVE THE BLIND, OR THE PARTIALLY SIGHTED, OR THOSE LABOURING UNDER SOME TEMPORARY OR PERMANENT INCAPACITY OR DISABILITY WHICH MAKES READING A STRAIN, BY THE PROVISION OF RECORDINGS AND AUDIO EQUIPMENT.
