At the same time, the Christian and wider charitable sectors faced a dramatic reduction in donations and the cancellation of fundraising events. Churches have lost their weekly collections, rental income and event income. In the face of this dual challenge, in collaboration with over 50 Christian philanthropists, generous givers, trusts and other funders, Stewardship proposed the creation of a Rapid Response Fund as an opportunity for increased impact at this time.
