BRIDPORT COMMUNITY SHED

Bridport Community Shed offers all and any members of our local community the opportunity to meet, make and mend, in congenial surroundings. We do this from premises in the gardener's compound behind Bridport Council's offices in Mountfield, in the centre of Bridport, West Dorset. We can be contacted via email at bridportcommunityshed@gmail.com, or by phone on 07593 880 428.
Analysis by Giving is Great

Positives:

  • This charity has been very successful in attracting volunteers relative to its size
  • A significant proportion of recent income was derived from major grant makers including the Government
  • The Board appears to be well diversified in terms of gender and dynamic in terms of composition

Regulatory & Governance issues to consider:

  • Although this charity works with volunteers it does not have a Volunteer Management policy
  • One or more trustees receive payments or benefits from the charity for providing services to the charity
  • Over half the Board have joined recently
  • Returns have been filed late on 2 occasions over the last 3 years and the current period appears to have been extended

Financial issues to consider:

  • A PartB annual return has not been required and so detailed financial information is not available from the online data
