BREADWINNERS FOUNDATION

Breadwinners is an ambitious grassroots charity set up in April 2016. Our aim is to support refugees through their first steps into entrepreneurship, employment, work experience, and mentoring whilst providing Londoners with the best organic artisan bread.
Analysis by Giving is Great

Positives:

  • This charity has been successful in attracting volunteers relative to its size
  • The charity has received backing from several prominent grant makers recently
  • There has been strong growth in spending over the last 5 years
  • There have been no material income shortfalls in recent years
  • The Board appears to be dynamic in terms of composition

Regulatory & Governance issues to consider:

  • This charity raises funds from the public but is not recognised by HMRC for Gift Aid according to its latest published return
  • Although this charity works with volunteers it does not have a Volunteer Management policy
  • This charity does not have a Conflict of Interests policy

Financial issues to consider:

  • A PartB annual return has not been required and so detailed financial information is not available from the online data
