The funding will be used to provide youth support for children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions and their siblings through the employment of a support worker for 2 days per week for 12 months. Seriously ill children are often isolated from their peers and are at greater risk of depression missing school and social learning. Siblings can be caught up in a caring role and also lack the social interaction needed for healthy development.
