It will include music food and a sharing of culture. The event will include performances from the Ukrainian adult and children’s choir and host speakers sharing the reality of their situation. The project aims to build strong relationships and unite communities.

The fund was set up in 2017/18 to support community projects which reduce knife crime and have a positive impact on young people at risk of carrying a knife and committing crime. The fund was open to voluntary and community sector groups and the Home Office made up to £800,000 available in 2017 to 2018.A second round of the fund was announced in the Serious Violence Strategy, launched by the Home Secretary on 9 April 2018.In 2018/19 were are increasing this fund to £1.56 million pound for 68 projects.

This project will build on previous work by the Big Help Project in Knowsley. It will support vulnerable people facing financial hardship to get back into education, employment and training, as well as providing debt management advice and support. Advisers will offer one to one support for as long as necessary. The project also runs a foodbank and coordinates over 150 organisations who provide food or hold foodbank vouchers.
