MAHDLO (OLDHAM YOUTH ZONE)

This project will deliver 4 sports sessions per week for a period of one year. The sports will be Unihoc (indoor hockey), basketball, badminton, and pool.

This grant will fund mentoring and activities for 13-18 year olds with mental health challenges in Oldham, leading to improved mental health and better opportunities for inclusion.

We wish to pay for youth work professionals and food to give local young people the opportunity to discuss their mental health and wellbeing over a nutritious meal.

We plan to deliver health and wellbeing workshops to young females from Oldham aged eight to 19 years, to support emotional wellbeing, increase social skills and raise aspirations.

This project will support children and young people living in areas of deprivation who may have additional needs. It will provide an afterschool session to deliver increased educational support and advice.

Funding under Sport England's Small Grants funding programme for a Revenue project titled Toyota Parasport Fund - Mahdlo Wheelchair Sports Project. This project is a Wheelchair Basketball project, with a focus on beneficiaries with a disability.

COVID19 - This grant will fund staffing, food, and project costs to support disabled children and young people who are increasingly isolated due to Covid-19. As a result, their wellbeing will improve.

Funding under Sport England's COVID-19 Community Emergency Fund funding programme for a Revenue project titled COVID-19 CEF. This project is a Sport participation and capacity building project, with a focus on younger beneficiaries.

This three year project will support children and young people experiencing mental ill-health in Oldham. It will provide one-to-one and group mentoring resulting in increased socialisation, friendships, and resilience.

We want to provide a breakfast club where young people can explore any issues they may be facing, enabling them to have a brighter future.

The activities are aimed at increasing confidence and raising aspirations amongst young people aged 12 – 19 and will also include sessions on emotional health and wellbeing.
