All DBS to be provided to our HR. We have 2 safeguard leads at Leeds GATE, with a manager present on site each day in order to support with any safeguard matters. Risk assessments will provided for every activity, which is to be shared with all staff/volunteers with the assessment being signed off by Safeguard Lead. All staff and volunteer to have read children and young peoples safeguarding policy (updated every 2 years). All staff to have signed off that they have read this.

The project aims to strengthen community learning through weekly literacy classes and skills workshops including food-hygiene health and safety and self-employment skills develop the Community Action Groups (CAGs) and engage with the community through welfare checks isolation support food parcels health advocacy and wellbeing. The project will reduce loneliness and increase confidence by learning new skills.
