This two-year project supported residents of Havering and Barking and Dagenham experiencing mental health problems by bringing people together once a month to make new friends, take part in activities, learn new coping strategies and skills and to gain mutual support. The project was requested by the beneficiaries, the majority of whom were already members of individual peer support groups within the organisation. A committee of participants managed and shaped the project.
