ECHO is applying for this grant to purchase 50 android tablets for use by the COVID-19 (suspected and confirmed) patients of East Cheshire NHS Trust; these patients are currently on the wards and the tablets will help them stay in contact with their families during their time as in-patients. The patients are unable to have visitors and some are very poorly; having a tablet that could be shared with them during their time of treatment/recovery or their end of life care would add considerable value to their experience at the trust and to their wellbeing by speaking to and staying in touch with their loved ones through being able to see and chat to them.
